Simple Kit January 2016 by Paperoamo

Hello everyone,

I´d like to share my projects created from the January Simple Kit by Paperoamo.

Prajem vám všetkým krásny deň,
chcela by som vám predstaviť moje projekty

Kit is created from wonderfull collection called B-side by Basic Grey.
Love these colors and patterns so much.

My new task is to create some DIY tutorial for you from the kit.
I´ve decided that I will choose some geometric pattern and create as much as I can.
I just want to improve and use more colors as well as patterns on my cards.
Love the white on clean and simple cards but it´s a little challenge for me as well :)

Let´s begin with the stripes :)

I have cut all the papers and prepare some patterns that coordinated well together.
And this is the result :

Don´t forget on your labeling stripes of paper on the bottom of your design papers.
Yeah and sorry for the mess on my table :)

Just glue these stripes on paper and create your own patterned paper.
I wanted to create a frame out of it so just use your rectangle dies you have in your stash.

And here is the final post card:

This is a special card created for my brother. Girls from Paperoamo have created perfect little planner stamps and I used them to create a funny birtday card.
It says:
Today (19th January 2016) you have a birtday.
Don´t forget :
- to put the bottle of champaign in the fridge
- to prepare some party snacks
- don´t forget that the meat is in the oven
(he cooked for us amazing roast beef. yummy )
- to enjoy it :)

Thanks for your visit.
See you soon here showcasing the February Kit :)

Stamping on bag

Hello everyone,
I have a special project to share with you today.
This article was created for Vintage crafting.sk and my task was "Remake".
I had this idea in my mind for a long time. What about stamping on a bag ? :)

Prajem vám všetkým krásny deň,
dnes by som sa s vami chcela podeliť o špeciálny projekt.

I have used a special black ink pad for textile. It´s a pigment ink so working with it was a little bit messy but it worked perfectly.

I have used also paint and markers suitable for textile.

Of course I had to try it on a scrap piece of textile first.

It´s important to protect your bag. We want to achieve the professional look :)

And this is the result. I used stamps by Hero Arts but I can´t find a proper link. Will  edit later.

My favorite bag of all times :)

You may use many fancy tools how to apply color on your project

but I have decided to use ordinary kitchen sponge.

Don´t forget to mask the words properly.

I was very please with the result

Let´s have a look at the final results one more time :)

I hope I have given you some inspiration to use your stamps in new and unexpected way :)
Have a great day,

Valeria

December Simple Kit by Paperoamo

Hello everyone,

I know I am soooo late but december was crazy.
So much work + renovation of our new flat + moving to the new flat.
We managed to move everything on the 23rd of December :)

Still I´d like to present you my cards from December Simple Kit by Paperoamo.

Prajem vám krásny deň,

chcela by som vám ukázať moje pohľadnice z
Napriek tomu by som vám chcela ukázať moje projekty.

As you can see it was a pleasure to work with such a great materials.
I love to create traditional christmas cards as well as nontraditional.
This collection is called Yuletide by Pink Paislee and you can find more details here.

Let´s start with the first card. I used the PL cards created by Paperoamo.

2nd one : using the cards created also especially for the Paperoamo.
The sentiment says: Happy and Merry Christmas. I have added the year as well as the date. We are celebrating the Christmas Eve on the 24th December.

I have found these amazing wood embelishments. They have great texture and I think it´s real wood or at least real bark. Very cool in real life.

The sequins mix is amazing ♥

We got the whole package of sequins so I had to make at least one shaker card.

I truly love these sequins !!! The gold ones have the platinum or the old gold shade and the red have amazing mat finish.

I have created my own sentiment which says: The snow is falling down, finally we have Christmas.

All is calm, all is bright ...

Little snowflake instead of o ... and you´ve got the sentiment: Let it snow :)

And finally the last one. I have heat embossed some poinsettas on vellum, cut it out, layered it and sticked it on the final project. Very soft and elegant looking Christmas card.

Hope I´ve given you some inspiration for your next Christmas projects ;-)

How I use washi tapes

Hello everyone,

today I´d like to share few tips and tricks how to use washi tape.

Prajem všetkým krásny deň,
dnes by som vám chcela prezentovať zopár trikov,

I have created new Pinterest board with lots of washi ideas, so you can check it out.

I was willing to try this DIY project for a long time. Finally I have found a good reason to share it with you.  It´s so easy to make. Just glue 2 washi tapes together. Use bakers twine, wire or tooth pick for the centre piece. Cut out the feather shape and cut around.
Easy, relaxing and very addictive :)

My favourite way how to use washi tape is to create your own patterned paper.
Choose patterns which coordinates with each other and glue them together.

You can cut out different shapes with your punches or with your dies at Big Shot.
That´s the way I have created these Valentine´s Day Cards.

Or you can hide your washi patterned paper

and you reach interesting final effect on your card.

Sometimes all you need is just a strip of the washi tape. Combine it with interesting embellishments and you´re ready to send it out. These are the samples from my last year Christmas cards.

And here is my last example how I like to use washi tape. I´d like to concentrate on masking. It´s one of my favourite technique because it helps you to create real miracles on your projects :)

Don´t forget to remove some of the stickiness from the tape. Just tape it on your hand or your clothes first. Otherwise it will ruin your paper.

First stamp the flower, create a mask and glue it on. We want the flower to be the star of our card and protected from the color we are planning to use. Put the strips of washi tape onto the panel.

Apply the color. You can use whatever you prefer. I have decided for the Distress Ink Mermaid Lagoon. Love this new bright blue color.

Using this technique you achieve amazing result.
Love this card so much.

Here is some close up.

I hope I have given you some inspiration how to use more washi tapes in your crafting.
Let me know what is your favourite way to use it or your favourite design.
Have an amazing day,

Valeria
